Roof repair fraud continues to plague communities throughout the country. Referred to as “storm chasers,” these roofers typically show up after a large hail or wind storm, and require payment up front.
Unfortunately, many of these fake roofers have scammed thousands of dollars from hard-working Americans. While some legitimate roofers may show up at your door after a storm, you should be prepared to do some research before you hire anyone claiming to be a legitimate roofing contractor.
